    Our next OKAA Quarterly meeting is June 10th in Tulsa at 2882 E 33rd Street. It is not affiliated with the OKAA, but it is in line with our mission. Information follows: Acudetox/AcuWellness Training May 14-18, 2018 Location: Cherokee Nation EMS Office in Tahlequah OK Who should attend: Addiction Counselors, Behavioral Health & Mental Health Specialist, Nurses, Doctors, and Social Workers Learn a new tool to help your clients and improve the effectiveness of your programs. The trainees will learn the 5-Point Acupuncture Protocol which is used to support those with addictions, trauma, mental health conditions, stress & anxiety. A safe, simply, effective, low cost, and non-verbal treatment that helps clients deal with anxiety, stress, and trauma. This 70-hr. training is provided in two-parts. The first 40 hours are classroom and practicum. Needles and clinical supplies will be provided. The remaining hours will be arranged with the Trainer in the community. When the training is completed the trainee will receive a certification with the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) as an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist (ADS). Cost of the certification is included in the training fee. Class size limited to 14.
