OKAA Application for Certification
Download and instruction page. applications are due by July 15 mail them to: John Yang, 1921 NW 23rd St., OKC, OK 73106 Certification Board of the Oklahoma Acupuncture Association (OKAA) and the membership of the OKAA have adopted the following requirements for Certification by this Association. BE IT RESOLVED: To receive Oklahoma Acupuncture Association (OKAA) certification to practice acupuncture in Oklahoma: (1) a person must document current active status as a Diplomate in Acupuncture of the NCCAOM. Anyone with said status, after having paid the appropriate fees and dues, is automatically accepted for certification by OKAA. (2) The OKAA shall waive the requirements of subsection (1) and shall grant certification to practice acupuncture to a resident applicant, residing in the state of Oklahoma on December 31, 2012 who presents evidence satisfactory to the OKAA no later than December 31, 2012 of completion of one of the following routes to eligibility: ROUTES TO ELIGIBILITY:
While membership and regular attendance at meetings and workshops of the OKAA are highly encouraged, this Association has agreed: 1) OKAA membership status is not a requisite for certification; 2) Certification by the Board and payment of the $50.00 annual re- certification fee grants automatic membership of the OKAA. (by motion and a vote of the Association currently charges a one time non-refundable $125.00 application fee for certification. The annual membership will equate to the $50.00 annual re-certification fee.) Recommendations for professional development credits and maintenance of proficiency are currently being reviewed by this Board. We welcome all comments, suggestions, and input from the membership and will make a recommendation for approval by the organization at the March quarterly meeting.
